NORTH READING — The North Reading Parks and Recreation Youth Track and Field Program was another huge success. The program ran for six afternoons from June 11 to June 27.

Each day’s two-hour session consisted of expert instruction from NRHS track coach Sotirios Pintzopoulos followed by competition. Instruction included event rules, proper techniques, safety issues and insights into gaining a competitive edge in track and field.

On Thursday, June 27, awards were presented to the top boy and girl as overall athletes in their respective grades. All athletes were presented a participant ribbon and received a camp t-shirt on that date.

The best all-around athletes from each grade were as follows:

Kindergarten – Megan Millis and Daniel Molla.

First Grade – Devon Vant and William Nussbum.

Second Grade – Ruby Davidson and Luke Molla.

Third Grade – Chloe DeAngelis and Harry Agganis.

Fourth Grade – Sophia Gallivan and Sean Saulnier.

Fifth and Sixth Grade – Ava Vant and Chris Agganis.
