Published in the October 30, 2015 edition. WAKEFIELD — Margaret M. Maguire, 88, a longtime Wakefield resident, died Thursday, Oct. 29, at Wingate at Reading. Born in Boston on Jan. 26, 1927, she was the daughter of the late John J. and Margaret (McCusker) Carter. Mrs. Maguire was raised in Boston and was a graduate of Jamaica Plain High School. She had been a Wakefield resident since 1947 and was a devoted member of Saint Joseph Church. Mrs. Maguire was the wife of the late James V. Maguire. She was the mother of Claire Maguire Winters and her husband Gerald and Joan Maguire Boodry and her husband Thomas, all of Wakefield, and the late James V. Maguire Jr. and Margaret M. Carlson. He was born in Boston on Sept. 23, 1926. Mr. O’Meara was a longtime Wakefield resident and was the Superintendent of Mails at the Main Post Office in the Square.
