She was born on July 15, 1917 and was the daughter of the late Salvatore and Josephine (Zaffiro) DiBlasi. She was raised in Revere and was a graduate of Revere High School. She had been a Wakefield resident for more than 40 years and was a retired hairdresser with the former Jordan Marsh Department Store of Boston and also the F.W. Woolworth Company. Mrs. Scaturro was the beloved wife of the late Anthony Scaturro. She was the loving mother of Michael J. Scaturro and his wife Patricia and Corrine A. DiPietro and her husband Paul all of Wakefield. Hard working family man proud of Catholic faith Published in the May 31, 2017 edition MELROSE — Roland C. Medeiros died peacefully surrounded by his family at Winchester Hospital on May 24. He passed away two days short of his 91st birthday. Mr. Medeiros was born in Cambridge on May 26, 1926 to the late Francisco and Deolinda (Carvalho) Medeiros. He was raised in Cambridge and Somerville and graduated from Rindge Tech in Cambridge. He graduated top of his class from Fisher Business School in Boston and later attended classes at Salem State and Northeastern University. Roland worked as an office manager and accountant for R. H. Warriors shut out Stoneham in finale, finish with 7-9 record Published in the May 31, 2017 edition STONEHAM — As it turned out, the Wakefield Memorial High boys’ tennis team came within a win of clinching a state tournament berth. The Warriors closed out the 2017 season with a 5-0 triumph over Stoneham on Saturday afternoon at Stoneham High School to finish with a 7-9 record. At first singles, senior captain James Hanron defeated Tim Russell, 6-4, 7-5. Noah Greif, a freshman, played at second singles and he posted a double bagel shutout, 6-0, 6-0 over Kevin Sengaphiy. At third singles, senior captain Zack Covelle defeated Seth Russell by a 6-0, 6-1 tally.
