WAKEFIELD — Amandee Elaine Hoctor, 23, a lifelong Wakefield resident died unexpectedly after a long battle with addiction on Tuesday, December 11, 2018.

She was born in Methuen on May 15, 1995 and was a graduate of St. Joseph School and the Northeast Vocational High School, Class of 2013.

She is survived by her mother Elaine Hoctor-deVos and her step-father Gardner deVos of Wakefield, her father Thomas Hoctor and his wife Cathy of Stoneham, her sister Heather Hoctor of Lynnfield, her two brothers Thomas Hoctor of Franklin and Aaron deVos of Wakefield and her dearest friend Patrick Booth. Amandee is also survived by her loving extended family in Londonderry, New Hampshire and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Mandee will always be remembered by her family as a happy go lucky girl with a golden heart.

Her funeral service will be held in the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Tuesday at 7 p.m. Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the funeral home prior to the service starting at 4 p.m.
