EAST FALMOUTH — Ann Marie Boccelli (Nina), 93, former longtime resident of Wakefield, died Friday, September 28, 2018 at her residence in East Falmouth surrounded by her family and her loving caregiver Fatima.

Born in Wakefield on July 24, 1925 she was the daughter of the late Michael and Elvira (Presutti) DiTonno and survived by one sister, Janet Ditonno and husband Possie Sabanty of Wakefield and predeceased by her brother Frank Ditonno and sister Vienna Pepe.

Nina was the beloved wife of the late Frank P. Boccelli, the mother of Frank N. Boccelli and his wife Jean of Las Vegas, Nev., Michael S. Boccelli and his wife Laura of Hampton, N.H., Joseph A. Boccelli and his wife Janet of North Reading, Eva Roberto of Wakefield, and Patricia Egan and partner Robert Hyman of Wakefield. She is also survived by her 11 loving grand-children, 15 great-grandchildren, along with many nieces and nephews.

Nina was raised and educated in Wakefield, was known as a hard and loyal worker. She worked at Copley Shoe Company during her younger days and retired from Marshalls Distribution Center. Enjoyed dancing, playing cards with family and friends, baking, keeping a tidy home and known as the Dear Abby of the neighborhood. Her favorite love was spending summers on Cape Cod and wintering in Clearwater, Fla. with her husband and family.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a funeral from McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield, on Tuesday, October 2 at 9 a.m. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Joseph Church, 173 Albion St. Wakefield at 10 a.m. Interment Forest Glade Cemetery, Wakefield. Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the funeral home on Monday, October 1 from 4-8 p.m.
