WORCESTER — The Assumption College Department of Athletics has announced that Billy Arseneault, of Lynnfield, has earned a spot on the 2018-19 Assumption College Men’s Basketball team. Arseneault, Class of 2022, is competing during the Greyhounds’ winter season.

“The future is bright for our program as we have a group of talented basketball players and intelligent student-athletes,” said Michael Harding, who is in his fourth season as head coach of the Men’s Basketball team. “Our team is dedicated to winning both on the court and in the classroom this season.”

The Assumption College Men’s Basketball team was selected sixth in the Northeast Division of the Northeast-10 Preseason Coaches’ Poll. The squad is led by seniors Damien Rance ‘19 and Nick Pasquale ‘20, who look to mentor the team’s seven freshmen and vie for the NE10 Championship.

Arseneault led Lynnfield to a 36-9 record over his final two years as he won the CAL MVP during both his junior and senior seasons. He finished his LHS career with 1,022 points.

The Greyhounds are currently 4-4 on the season. Arseneault is still working on earning playing time, but like he did at LHS, he will continue to work on his game and be ready to go once his number is called.
