Published May 23, 2019 By STEPHEN MARTELLUCCI NORTH READING — The North Reading High girls lacrosse team won its second game on Monday afternoon as they defeated visiting Malden, 15-6, on the team’s Traumatic Brain Injury Awareness Game. “It was a very special and emotional day,” said North Reading head coach Matt Costello. Meredith Casey, a U15 lacrosse assistant coach, was the honorary captain. Casey has inspired countless people with her Mighty Meredith Project to raise awareness of Traumatic Brain Injuries and on Monday, the Hornets played for Meredith as they came away with a big win.
