WAKEFIELD — Blanche Flynn (Maffeo), 95, of Wakefield died Saturday, September 15, 2018 at the Bear Hill Nursing Center.
Blanche was born in Winchester on January 12, 1923 and was the daughter of the late Pasquale and Antoinette (Riccio) Maffeo.
Blanche was raised in Winchester and a longtime Wakefield resident. She enjoyed spending time with her friends and family. She also enjoyed bowling, cooking and playing bingo.
Blanche was the beloved wife of the late John DelRossi and William D. Flynn. She was the loving mother of Daniel W. Flynn and his wife Alayne of Wakefield, and the late John DelRossi, Jr. She was the sister of Antoinette Caruso, Daniel Maffeo, the late Louise Hewis, Celeste Ciampa, Amelia Gangie, Pasquale Maffeo and Albino Kolls. She was the loving grandmother of Erin Flynn and Kevin Flynn and his fiancé Ashley.
Her funeral will be held from the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave. Wakefield Wednesday at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral Mass in St. Joseph Church, 173 Albion St. Wakefield at 10 a.m. Interment, Forest Glade Cemetery. Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the funeral home Tuesday 3-7 p.m.
