Charlotte (Hughes) Dalton, 86, of North Reading, died Saturday, July 13, 2019, with her family by her side, at the Sawtelle Family Hospice House in Reading. She was the beloved wife of 63 years to the late Chester Dalton, who died in 2018. Born in Prince Edward Island, Canada on November 26, 1932, she was the daughter of the late James and Mary (Ostrich) Hughes. She was a graduate of Notre Dame Academy in Prince Edward Island and she attended Salem State College. Charlotte was a retired 34-year para-professional teacher at the L.D. Taught ceramics for many years Published July 11, 2019 WATERVILLE, Maine — Elinor Louise (Cronin) Ricci, 93, of Waterville, Maine, formerly of Reading, Mass., passed away peacefully on June 18, 2019 after a brief stay in hospice surrounded by family. Elinor was born October 2, 1925 to Esther (Bossi) and John Cronin in Boston. She was predeceased by her loving spouse, Albert M. Ricci, to whom she was married for 69 years. They raised their six children, first in Westwood, Mass. and then settled in Reading. Elinor is best remembered for her creative side. For many years she taught ceramics, often entering her own creations and those of students in shows as well as judging for the New England Ceramic League. James was born in Winchester and he is the son of the late Frank and Adelaide Owen. Jim grew up in North Reading and attended North Reading Schools.
