Published September 25, 2020 MELROSE — Sandra (Perkins) Hamilton, 84, a longtime resident of Melrose, passed away on Sept. 16, 2020, peacefully in her home. Born on Aug. 20, 1936, in Melrose, Sandy was the daughter of the late Leonard Perkins and Margaret (Latty) Perkins Taylor. Raised in Melrose, Sandy graduated from Melrose High School in 1955. Her family and faith were the center of her life. She raised her five children in the Melrose Community that she was so fond of. Sandy was a devoted nurse at the Boston Regional Medical Center and MelroseWakefield Hospital for over 30 years. She will be remembered for her love of family, travel and mission work to La Romana Dominican Republic both as a nurse and compassionate woman of faith. Her trips were to help build a...
