Elizabeth, who preferred to go by Bette, was a caring person and a life-long volunteer who always sought a way to give back to her community, whether through her local food pantry, driving the elderly to their appointments, or many, many hours at her church, St. Theresa’s in Rye, NH. Bette was born February 16, 1939 in Salem, MA to Leo and Esther (Pelletier) Sullivan. She grew up attending St. Chretienne Academy in Salem, MA, where her 5’2” stature earned her the captain’s position on the volleyball team. WAKEFIELD — Nettie June (Graves) Amazeen, a resident of Lowell and formerly 73-year resident of Wakefield, passed away peacefully Tuesday, October 13, 2020, at age 97. June was born in Malden on July 10, 1923, one of nine children of the late Ernest R. Graves and Elsie (Parsons) Babcock. She was raised in Melrose where she graduated from Melrose High School. After the loss of her father at a young age, she lovingly helped care for her younger siblings, forming a shared lifelong bond. June married Frank Amazeen and they built a home in Wakefield where they raised four children. Born in Malden on March 27, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Dorothy (Jones) Hofman. Mrs. Sheehan was a graduate of Malden High School. She was a retired secretary for the Fuddruckers Corporation in Danvers. Mrs. Sheehan is survived by her husband Robert L. Sheehan; her three daughters Carol A. Matarazzo and her husband Richard of Billerica, Elaine M. Finnigan and her husband Bradley of Reading and Lisa A. McQueeney and her husband David of Pembroke; and her two sisters, Elaine Gelardi of Wakefield and Marlene Sinagra of North Andover. A former longtime resident of Wakefield, Massachusetts, Ken was the proud father of sons Mark, also of Maine, and Gregg, of Beverly, Massachusetts. In addition to his sons, he leaves behind a loving daughter-in-law, Lisa.
