MELROSE — The Melrose Board of Aldermen will be conducting an election to fill a vacancy in the office of Ward 5 Alderman.
The vacancy is a result of longtime Ward 5 Alderman Gail Infurna becoming Mayor of Melrose.
The selected candidate will serve in the position until the next aldermanic election in November 2019.
Letters of interest are now being accepted. To be eligible, candidates must reside in Ward 5 and be a registered voter in the City of Melrose.
