WAKEFIELD — Constance C. Harris, 88, of Wakefield, a longtime Wakefield resident and local educator died June 11, 2018 at the Melrose-Wakefield Hospital. She was born in Cambridge on January 16, 1930 and was the daughter of the late Ellis C. and Helen (Brennick) Jeffrey. Mrs. Harris was raised in Malden and was a graduate of the Malden High School, Class of 1948 and was a later graduate from Lesley College in 1952. She was a teacher in the Wakefield Public School system for 30 years.
She was the beloved wife of the late Arnold B. Harris. She was the loving mother of Jeffrey S. Harris and Ellisa C. Harris of Wakefield and Leslie A. Harris of Nashua, N.H. She was the sister of the late William Jeffrey and was the grandmother of Stephen, Ryan and Katelyn Frechette.
Her funeral service will be held in the McDonald Funeral Home 19 Yale Ave. Wakefield on Friday at 11 a.m. Visitation for relatives and friends will be held prior to the service beginning at 9 a.m. Services will conclude at Lakeside Cemetery.
