STONEHAM — Daniel Joseph Christie, 67, formerly of Wakefield and Stoneham, died on March 3, 2018, at the Raymond G. Murphy VA Medical Center in Albuquerque, New Mexico after a brief
illness.

Daniel was born in Malden on September 23, 1950 the son of the late Earl N. and Dorothy F. (Taylor) Christie. Mr. Christie was raised in Stoneham and was a graduate of Stoneham High School, Class of 1969. Daniel was a proud Navy veteran and served his country honorably during the Vietnam War, then later worked assisting other veterans at the VA Hospital. Mr. Christie was a wonderful cook and he loved listening to music, spending time with his family, and passionately following all of the Boston sports teams.

Mr. Christie was the beloved father of Michelle Christie Tucker and husband Daniel of Berea, Ky., Angela Christie Dolan and husband James of Swansea, and Pamela Christie and husband Chris Drenter of Floyds Knobs, Ind. He was the brother of Jacqueline and Sharon Christie, Donna Clark, the late Earl Christie, and the late Thomas Christie. He was the loving grandfather of Joshua, Samuel, and Meghan Tucker, Aidan and Lyla Dolan, and Jacoby Christie. He is also survived by life-long friends Marie T. (Pagliuca) Christie, Pamela (Stiles) Christie, and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Mr. Christie’s memorial visitation will be held at Anderson-Bryant Funeral Home, 4 Common St., Stoneham on Thursday March 15, from 5-8 p.m. His funeral mass will be held at St. Patrick Church, 71 Central St., Stoneham at 10 a.m., on March 16, followed by a graveside ceremony at Lindenwood Cemetery.
