WAKEFIELD — David C. Tyrell, 87, of Wakefield died Friday, September 22, at the Sawtelle Family Hospice House in Reading.
David was born in Boston on November 13, 1929 and was the son of the late John and Marguerite (Lavery) Tyrell.
David was raised in East Boston and was a graduate of B.C High School and later a graduate of Boston College. He also earned his master’s degree in Education from Boston State College.
David was a resident of Wakefield for 40 years and retired from the Malden Public Schools as an adjustment counselor after many years of service.
David was the beloved husband of Mary Ellen (Manning) Tyrell. He was the loving brother of Donald Tyrell of TN, Jane Hartney of Peabody, and the late Richard Tyrell, John Tyrell, and the late Sr. David Mary Tyrell. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
His funeral will be held from the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Thursday, at
10 a.m. followed by a funeral Mass in Most Blessed Sacrament Church, 1155 Main St., Wakefield at 11 a.m.
Visitations for relatives and friends will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Interment in Forest Glade
