WAKEFIELD — The Middlesex League’s boys’ lacrosse coaches met recently to make this year’s All-Star selections in both the Freedom and Liberty divisions. 

Wakefield had four All-Stars named: senior goalie Ryan Chambers, senior defender Ryan Fitzpatrick and senior attackmen Robert Guida and Bobby Keegan.

The Warriors finished second in the Freedom with a 4-1 division record. First-place Melrose led the balloting with eight All-Stars. Third-place Burlington had two selections followed by one from Wilmington. 

In the Liberty Division, which was dominated by first-place Winchester (16-4) and state champion Reading (16-7). The two teams squared off in the Div. 2 North Final with Reading moving on and winning a state title. Both teams had four All-Stars selected.
