WAKEFIELD — Francis E. (”Frank”) O’Laughlin, 71, of Wakefield, formerly of Melrose and Boston passed away on December 3, 2017. Beloved husband of Deborah (Giglio) O’Laughlin and devoted father of Frank O’Laughlin and Abigail O’Laughlin. Son of the late Lorraine O’Laughlin Guido and Francis O’Laughlin. Brother of David O’Laughlin, Stephen Guido and Christine Guido.

Frank was a Vietnam War veteran who served his country with pride as a member of the US Marine Corps from 1966 to 1970 earning the National Defense Service medal. He was a Teamsters Local 25 member for 27 years, retiring from Atlas Glen-Mor Oil in 2014.

Frank was a sincere man with a commitment to deeply held values and a consistent demeanor that friends and family described as quiet, thoughtful and gentlemanly. Always steady and dependable, no matter what the challenge was, he never failed to accomplish the task.

“Death is not the final curtain,” he would say, “it’s the next scene for a better life.”

We will never forget this very special man who has given us so much to remember in our lives.

We will forever miss you and we will see you one day as we jump from cloud to cloud.

A private memorial service is planned for the Spring. Service provided by Anderson-Bryant Funeral Home.
