LYNN — The Knights of Columbus Northern Regional Free Throw competition for K of C Districts 22 to 37 was held on Saturday, March 17 at St. Mary’s High School in Lynn. Wakefield Council 104 had two children that had qualified for this competition and both were winners.
Winning were 10-year-old Dillon McCarthy and 13-year-old Maeve Gaffney. Dillon made 14 of 25 free throws while. Maeve had 19 of 25. Gaffney and McCarthy will now advance to the K of C State Finals on April 14 at Anna Maria College, 50 Sunset Lane in Paxton. Registrations will start at 8:30 a.m. with the competition starting at 9:30 a.m.
