WAKEFIELD — James C. (”Crunch”) Donahue, Jr., 71, passed away peacefully surrounded by his three sons on July 9, 2019.

Son of the late James C. Donahue, Sr. (Wakefield Auxiliary Police) and F. Elizabeth (Sawler) Donahue and brother of the late Gloria E. (Donahue) Martin. James is survived by his sister Nancy M. Donahue, ex-wife Linda L. Donahue (Janiak), son Matthew, his wife Kimberly and their children Asher and Shaia; son James, his wife Allison and their children Isabelle, Ephram and Tiferet; and son Michael and his son “Chewie.” He also leaves behind a niece, Susan (Ranisate) Bourque, nephew John E. Martin and nephew Daniel Martin.

James was a Vietnam veteran having served in the United States Marine Corps as a Combat Engineer and awarded six service medals during his tour in Vietnam.

Memorial service to be held at the Southern Maine Veterans Cemetery at a later date to be determined.
