WARNER, N.H. — Joan Carol Santoro passed away Friday, August 24, 2018 at Pine Rock Manor Senior Living in Warner, N.H. Joan was born June 2, 1937 in Wakefield, Massachusetts the daughter of the late John and Helen MacDonald.
Joan was a devoted and loving mother. She was very proud of her family and was a willing “Grammy” to any child who needed one. Joan lived to help others preferring to be behind the scenes while taking endless joy in the smiles of others. She loved holidays and family get-togethers; any chance to spend time with her family was important to her. She would spend hours cooking and preparing for her guests.
Joan is survived by her children and spouses; Peter (Chasity) Santoro, Julie Chick, Connie Wallace, Debra (John) Karalis; 11 loving grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; and one sister, Patricia Gates. She was preceded in death by a son, Robert Santoro in 2017, and a sister Jeanette Mills.
Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield, Mass. on Thursday, September 13 from 3 – 7 p.m.
A graveside service will be held at Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, 185 Lake St., Peabody, Mass. on Friday, September 14 at 10 a.m.
