EPPING, N.H. — John I. Moccia, 80, of Epping, N.H., formerly of Wakefield, Mass., died on Tuesday, March 12, 2019 at Hyder Hospice House, Dover, N.H.

He was born on April 25, 1938 in Melrose, Mass., the son of Vito J. and Mary (Carmella Palumbo) Moccia. He was a graduate of Wakefield High School class of 1957. John spent 30 years as an aircraft refueler for Logan Airport; a member of Charlestown, Mass. Teamsters Local 25.

John is survived by his spouse, Jean (Desmond) Moccia of Epping, N.H.; children Annette Moccia and fiancé Steve Moraski of Marshfield, Mass.; Anthony J. Moccia and long-term girlfriend Crystal Callahan of Sanford, Maine; Brian D. Moccia and wife Angela of Epping, N.H.; daughter-in-law Patricia Moccia of Arlington, Mass.; grandchildren Samantha Moccia, Ryan Jacobs, Zachary Jacobs, Jane Moccia, Abigail Moccia, Noah and Elisabeth Moraski, Elizabeth Callahan. Dear friends Vincent and Claire Campanella of Wakefield; the “Gulch” crowd of Wakefield and the Square Pond Friends in Shapleigh, Maine.

He was pre-deceased by his parents; son Joseph V. Moccia and brother; Vito R. Moccia.
