MANCHESTER, N.H. — Joseph W. Bowers, 80, of Manchester, N.H. died July 10, 2018 at his home after a period of declining health.

He was born in Cambridge, Mass. on December 19, 1937 to Clarence and Ethel Bowers. He grew up in Cambridge and lived in Wakefield, Mass. for 46 years before moving to Manchester 12 years ago.

Joseph worked as a chef at the Hanscom Air Force Base Officers Club and the Red Coach Grill in Wayland, Mass. Prior to retiring, he was a driver for Nissen Bread Company.

The family includes his wife of 59 years, Patricia (Brady) Bowers of Manchester, N.H.; two daughters, Bonnie Parisi and husband, Joseph, of Florida and Patricia A. Bowers of Manchester, N.H.; a sister, Patricia Andrews and husband, Herbert, of Wakefield, Mass.; four brothers-in-law, Ned Brady, Ken Brady, Ronnie Brady and David Brady; a sister-in-law, Bonnie Brady; and cousins, nieces and nephews

A calling hour will be held Tuesday, July 17 from 9 to 10 a.m. at Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, 1799 Elm St., Manchester, N.H. A cemetery committal service is Tuesday, July 17 at 12 noon at St. Patrick Cemetery, 999 Belmont St., Watertown, Mass.
