CHARLESTON, SC — June S. (Dugan) Watson from Charleston, SC, and formerly from Port Charlotte, FL, and Melrose, passed away peacefully surrounded by family in person and in spirit. 

She recently celebrated her 88th birthday. Born in Cambridge, June met the love of her life, Ralph Watson, and they spent 60 years together. They raised their family of six children in Melrose. She was an active member of the First Baptist Church in Melrose and worked as a cashier and manager for Cerretani’s supermarket for over 25 years. 

 She and Ralph loved to travel the country in their R.V. and settled in Quincy for a number of years before relocating to Florida. June spent her final two years in Charleston, South Carolina. 

She was preceded in death her husband, Ralph L. Watson, and son Stephen C. Watson. She is survived her children Paul Watson and his partner Edye Rulin from Cambridge, Janet Riordan and her husband Dennis from Mount Pleasant, S.C., Ralph Watson and his husband Peter Olsen from Boston, Diane Roth and her husband Bobby from Port Charlotte, FL, and Donna Ridley and her partner Greg Gutzki from Daniel Island, S.C. She also leaves 7 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
