WAKEFIELD — Kathleen Gallagher, 80, of Wakefield died on Wednesday, March 7, 2018 at the Winchester Hospital.

Kathleen was born in Malden on October 12, 1937 and was the daughter of the late Edward and Sally (Melia) Cunningham.

Kathleen was raised in Malden and was a graduate of Malden High School and later a graduate of Marion Court College of Swampscott. She was a Wakefield resident for the past 31 years. She was retired from Boston IVF of Waltham and had also worked for McCord-Winn of Winchester. She loved travelling and regularly vacationed in Disney World.

Kathleen was the beloved wife of Robert P. Gallagher. She was the loving mother of Colleen Gallagher and her husband Bill Boc of Wakefield, Marc Attarian and his wife Carole of N.H., Scott Attarian and his wife Veronica of N.H., and the late James Attarian and his wife Trisha Attarian of Salisbury. She was the brother of Donald Cunningham and his wife Carol of Fla., Edward Cunningham of N.H., and the late Maureen Capone. She was the grandmother of Jack, Jenece, Matthew, Joshua, Jacob, Jimmy and Jennifer. She was the great-grandmother of Isaiah, Lily, Jamie, Joey and Landon.

Her funeral will be held from the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Saturday beginning at 9 a.m., followed by a funeral Mass in the Most Blessed Sacrament Church 1155 Main St., Wakefield at 10 a.m. Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the funeral home on Friday from 4-8 p.m. Interment will be held at Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.
