WAKEFIELD — Kenneth C. Alleca, 70, a lifelong Wakefield resident died Friday, December 1, 2017, at the Elmhurst Nursing Center in Melrose.

Born in Wakefield on April 25, 1947, he was the son of the late A. Charles and Grace Maria (Terravecchia) Alleca.

Ken was born and raised in Wakefield and was a graduate of Wakefield High School, Class of 1965. He married shortly after high school and raised his family in Wakefield. He loved the Boston sports teams and also enjoyed playing a round golf. A renaissance man, Ken loved home improvement, mechanics, and gardening.

He was the beloved husband of Virginia E. (Hawkes) Alleca, with whom he shared 50 years of marriage. He was the loving father of Jill Nadeau and her husband Roy of Wakefield and Ken R. Alleca and his wife Linda of Billerica. He was the adoring grandfather of Sean and his partner Valerie, Cory and his wife Shelby, Ryan, Kelli, and Kevin. He was the brother of Richard Alleca of Dracut and Charles Alleca of Reading. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

His funeral service will be held in the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Wednesday at 11 a.m. Visitation for relatives and friends at the Funeral Home on Tuesday from 4 – 8 p.m. Interment will be at Forest Glade Cemetery, Wakefield.
