MARLBOROUGH — Kenneth W. Carlson, 62, a resident of Marlborough, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 27, 2019 at the Rose Monahan Hospice Home in Worcester.

Ken was born in Malden on June 11, 1957, one of four sons of the late William H. Carlson and Patricia I. (McKenna) Carlson. Raised in Wakefield, Ken studied mechanical drafting at Northeast Regional Vocational School where he graduated with the Class of 1975. After graduation, he began a 30 year working career as a Mechanical Draftsman at Adcole Corp. in Marlborough.

Ken was raised in a close-knit Irish family of four sons. He enjoyed years of playing sports with his brothers, and trips with the whole family to Prince Edward Island every summer. With his brothers, he enjoyed playing cribbage and was a member of the Crystal Cribbage Club in Lynn. In his free time, he enjoyed watching the Bruins and Patriots, visiting his house in Wakefield, N.H., and was an avid NASCAR racing enthusiast. He also volunteered at the local vocational school as a mentor in the drafting department.

Ken greatly loved his two Himalayan Siamese cats, and looked forward to weekly phone conversations with his Aunt Ethel. Most of all, he appreciated time spent with his family at cookouts, holidays, and events. He will be missed.

Ken was the beloved brother of Timothy Carlson and his wife Christine of Melrose, Jack Carlson and his wife Julianne of Wakefield, and Richard Carlson and his wife Michele of Wakefield.
