WAKEFIELD — Leonard John Elliott, 48, a lifelong Wakefield resident, died Tuesday, February 6, 2018 at the Melrose-Wakefield Hospital.
Born in Melrose on November 24, 1969 he was the son of Linda J. Elliott of Wakefield. He was the step-father of Christopher Kelly of Florida. He was the brother of Tammy Sheehan of Saugus, Carrie Fotino and her husband Roger of Stoneham, Kelly McCarthy and her husband Tim of Braintree, and David Sarafian of Haverhill. He is also survived by his step-father Daniel McNeil of Braintree, as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Leonard was raised in Wakefield and was a graduate of Wakefield High School, Class of 1987. He was an avid New England sports fan and especially loved the Bruins and the Patriots. He loved camping and fishing.
His funeral service will be held in the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Friday at 7 p.m. Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the funeral home prior to the service from 4-7 p.m. Interment will be private.
