Worked in Insurance, served as Lynnfield call firefighter

PEABODY — Dana S. Richardson, 88, of Peabody, formerly of Lynnfield, died on Sunday, October 8 at the Kaplan Family Hospice house in Danvers.

Born in Medford on August 20, 1929, he was the son of the late Berne and Agnes (Lunt) Richardson.

Mr. Richardson was a graduate of Medford High School Class of 1948, New Hampton School Class of 1949 and Wentworth Institute Class of 1951. He had retired from Alexander and Alexander Insurance Company in Boston as a vice president for senior risk control consultant and from the Lynnfield Fire Department as a call firefighter. Mr. Richardson had been a Peabody resident for the past 15 years and a Lynnfield resident for 38 years. He was a 50 plus year member of the Centre Congregational Church in Lynnfield.

He is survived by his wife Virginia F. (Farrar) Richardson. He is also survived by his three daughters: Susan R. Morneault and her husband Stephen of Gorham, Maine; Debra R. Bourque of Lynnfield; and Cynthia L. Richardson of Putnam, Connecticut. He is also survived by his two granddaughters, Bethany Stinchon and her husband John of Manchester, Connecticut; and Courtney Okugic and her husband Jasmin of West Hartford, Connecticut. He is also survived by his great granddaughter Cailin Stinchon. He is also survived by his nephews: David, Mark, and James Richardson and their families. Mr. Richardson was predeceased by his brother Donald Richardson.

Visitation for relatives and friends was held at the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Thursday, October 12. Funeral services will be private.
