LYNNFIELD — Francis V. Procopio, 91, of Lynnfield, died on Tuesday, August 28, 2018 at the Sawtelle Family Hospice House in Reading.

Born in Boston on October 8, 1926, he was the son of the late Gioacchino and Mary (Pasqua) Procopio.

Mr. Procopio was raised in the West End of Boston. He was a retired electrician for Local No. 103 IBEW for 69 years. Mr. Procopio had been a Lynnfield resident since 1969 and was a member of the Wakefield/Stoneham Sons of Italy. He had served in the United States Navy during World War II. His legacy was his workmanship, it may never be duplicated.

Mr. Procopio is survived by his loving wife Georgia A. (DiEoreo) Procopio. He is also survived by his son Vincent F. Procopio and his wife Josephine of Florida. He is also survived by his two grandsons: Michael Procopio and his wife Kristen; and Vincent Procopio and his wife Niki, all of Saugus; as well as his great-grandson Michael Procopio. He was predeceased by his sister Beatrice and his two brothers: Alfred and John Procopio.

His funeral was held from the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Friday, Aug. 31, and was followed by a funeral Mass in the Our Lady of the Assumption Church, corner of Grove and Salem Streets., Lynnfield. Interment was at Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.
