Happiest when surrounded by those she loved

NORTH CHELMSFORD — Josephine M. (Muro) DeSanctis, 94, of North Chelmsford, formerly of Lynnfield, passed away at her home on Friday, August 24, 2018.

Josephine worked hard her entire life. She helped her late husband Willy run his gas station in East Boston and was a bookkeeper for her son’s insurance agency in Woburn for years. Ultimately though, Josephine’s greatest passion was opening her heart and home to her family and friends. Whether it was cooking for them (famous for her stuffed artichokes and birthday peach shortcakes), making sure her house was spotless when they arrived, or sitting playing cards together, Josephine was happiest when she was surrounded by the people she loved. She will be deeply missed.

Josephine is the beloved wife of the late Wilson DeSanctis. She was the devoted mother of the late L. Robert DeSanctis. She was the cherished grandmother of Jason DeSanctis, Adam DeSanctis, and Melinda DeSanctis and her husband Aaron Sigman, Josephine was the loving great grandmother of Shane and Casey. Josephine was the daughter of the late Gennaro Muro and Beatrice (Diduca) Muro. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

All services are private at the request of the family.

Please honor Josephine by making donations in her memory to The ALS Association Gift Processing Center PO Box 37022 Boone, IA 50037-0022.
