Enjoyed baking chocolate chip cookies for her grandchildren

LYNNFIELD — Lorraine Apuzzo, 81, of Lynnfield, died Monday, June 18, 2018 in Naperville, Illinois.

Born in Jersey City, New Jersey on July 31, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Milton and Anna (Healy) Himpele.

Mrs. Apuzzo was raised in Union, New Jersey. She loved spending time with family, traveling to the West Coast and baking her famous chocolate chip cookies for her grandchildren.

She was the beloved wife of the late Anthony A. Apuzzo. She was the loving mother of Linda Doherty and her husband Michael of Naperville, Ill. and Anthony Apuzzo, Jr. and his wife Michelle of Leawood, Kan. She was the sister of Jean Wilhelmson. She was the cherished grandmother of Jaclyn Veile and her husband Daniel; Michael Doherty and his wife Katie; Kevin Doherty; and Matthew, Thomas and Kimberly Apuzzo. She is also survived by two great-grandchildren and one on the way.

A graveside service will be held at Forest Hill Cemetery in Lynnfield on Thursday, June 28 at 11 a.m. Arrangements are in the care of the McDonald Funeral Home, Wakefield.
