Worked at BC/BS of Mass. for 31 years

LYNNFIELD — Lucille Crans Wood, 73, of Lynnfield and East Wakefield, New Hampshire, lost her long battle with breast cancer on Oct. 29, 2018.

She is survived by her husband and very best friend, Ernest M. Wood. She is also survived by her son, Alan Mackey of Wellesley; her brother, Richard W. Crans of Milford, Connecticut; and her step-sister, Barbara Michel of Berkeley, California. She was the daughter of the late Lucy Boyle Crans and Richard Walter Crans Sr. She also leaves her nephew, Richard A. Crans, of Madison, Connecticut; her niece, Heather Crans Vargas, of Culver City, California; and her goddaughter Jaci Castonguay of Mansfield.

Luci was born and raised in Norwalk, Connecticut and attended the University of Connecticut. She moved to Boston in 1967, was a surgical technician for several years and worked for Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Massachusetts for 31 years. Visiting hours will be held at the Edward V. Sullivan Funeral Home, Burlington on Thursday Nov. 1. Funeral services and burial are private.
