Longtime parishioner of St. Maria Goretti

LYNNFIELD — Mary F. Campbell, 92, of Lynnfield died Tuesday, Dec. 19, 2017, in Gloucester with her family by her side.

Born in Lynn on October 9, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Francis and Marie “Sadie” (Marchand) Cusick.

Mary was born and raised in Lynn and began her own family there before moving to Lynnfield, where she had been a resident for the past 40 years. She had worked as a bookkeeper until the age of 68, after which she began helping the elderly community with basic housekeeping chores until she was 80 years old. Mary was a devout Catholic and was a parishioner of St. Maria Goretti Church in Lynnfield. She was also very involved with the Lynnfield Senior Center, where she made great friends and enjoyed playing Bingo. Mary also loved to play cards with her family and making trips to Foxwoods.

She was the beloved wife of the late Henry F. Campbell. She was the loving mother of Michael Campbell and his wife Gail of Gloucester; Patrick Campbell and his wife Diane of Bowie, Maryland; Timothy Campbell of Jacksonville, Florida; and John Campbell of Lynnfield.  She was the sister of Marjorie Cusick of Lynnfield; and the late Jean “Celeste” Cavanaugh. She is also survived by her ten grandchildren: Melissa, Shawn, Amy, David, Jason, Michelle, Erin, Sharon, Cierra, and Tyler. She is also survived by six great grandchildren.

Her funeral services were private. Arrangements were in the care of the McDonald Funeral Home, Wakefield.
