Longtime Lynnfield resident

LYNNFIELD — Miriam M. Simmons, of Salem and a longtime Lynnfield resident died Friday September 15, 2017 in Salem at age 97. Mrs. Simmons was born in Somerville, MA on November 23, 1919 and was the daughter of the late Albert S. and Sarah (Drayton) Snow. She was raised in Winchester and was a graduate of Kendall Hall a private school in Peterborough, NH. While a Lynnfield resident she had been an active member of the community. She served as President of the Lynnfield Flower Workshop, was a member of Saint Paul’s Episcopal Church of Lynnfield and served as a member of its Alter Guild. In addition, she was a retired Library Assistant from the Lynnfield Town Library and also served as a clerk at the former Lynnfield Jewelers of Lynnfield Center.
