Recently returned from a mission trip in Haiti

LYNNFIELD — Peter W. Costas, 38, a lifelong Lynnfield resident, died suddenly and tragically on Sunday, Jan. 14, 2018.

Born in Winchester on September 14, 1979, he was the beloved son of Barbara L. (Fellows) Costas of Lynnfield and the late George Costas. Peter was the beloved brother of John D. Costas of Andover, Karen C. Costas of Dedham and Alainie B. Costas of Revere. Peter is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Peter was a graduate of Lynnfield High School, Class of 1999 and Westfield State University, Class of 2003. He was employed at CVS Omnicare in Peabody as a pharmacy technician. Peter was an active member of the Great Rock Church in Danvers and recently returned from a mission trip in Haiti. He enjoyed volunteering, hiking, reading, traveling and spending time with his family and friends.

Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Friday, January 19 from 4-8 p.m. His funeral service will be held at the Great Rock Church, 256 Andover St., in Danvers on Saturday, January 20 at 10 a.m., followed by an interment at Forest Hill Cemetery in Lynnfield.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in celebration of Peter’s life to the Haiti Mission Fund, Great Rock Church, 256 Andover St., Danvers, MA 01923.
