THE LYNNFIELD FIRE DEPARTMENT responded to Pillings Pond Road on Dec. 8 after a person that fell from a roof. The ambulance and paramedics determined that the patient met the criteria for a helicopter transport to a Boston trauma center. The patient was transported in the Lynnfield Fire Department ambulance to the Lynnfield High School practice field which is one of the designated landing zones for Med flight. The patient was flown to the Beth Israel Hospital in Boston for care of his multi-system trauma. (Robert Pierce Photo)
