WAKEFIELD — Maida P. Toth, 97, a lifelong Wakefield resident, died on Friday, Nov. 25, at her residence.

Born in Wakefield on June 6, 1919, she was the daughter of the late Adelbert C. and Ruth (Shepard) Purrington.

Mrs. Toth was a graduate of Wakefield High School’s Class of 1936 and was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution.

She was the wife of the late John S. Toth. Mrs. Toth is survived by her three sons: Wayne B. Toth of Chelsea, Myron A. Toth and his wife Bonnie and Douglas W. Toth, all of Wakefield. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Toth was predeceased by her two daughters Susan DeVita and Marsha Oakes, her brother John S. Purrington and her two sisters Virginia Erikson and Esther Price.

Her funeral service will be held at the McDonald Funeral Home,
19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Wednesday at noon. Interment will be held at Forest Glade Cemetery in Wakefield. Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the
funeral home prior to the service starting at 10 a.m.
