WAKEFIELD — Marguerite H. Burns, 96, of Wakefield, died on February 10 at the Prescott House in North Andover.

She was born in Cambridge on September 13, 1921, and was the daughter of the late Emmanuel and Anne (MacDonald) Moulis.

Marguerite was a graduate of Somerville High School, Class of 1940. She had been a Wakefield resident for over 60 years.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church, and was a retired bookkeeper for Superior Products Cleaning. Marguerite also taught pre-school at the Canterbury School at the Emmanuel Episcopal Church in Wakefield.

Marguerite was the beloved wife of the late Norman W. Burns. She was the loving mother of Donna Burns of Seabrook, NH, Richard Burns of Madison, NH, and Nancy Miller and her husband Richard of Peabody. She was the sister of E. John Moulis of Augusta, ME, Laurence Moulis of Virginia Beach, and the late Orenthia Knox and Florence Binari. Marguerite was also the loving grandmother of Elizabeth Anne and Daniel Richard.

Funeral services will be held at the First Baptist Church, 8 Lafayette St., Wakefield on Thursday at 11 a.m.

Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield, on Wednesday from
4 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Interment will be in Forest Glade Cemetery, Wakefield.
