WAKEFIELD — Marilyn S. Meads, 87, of Wakefield, formerly of Terre Haute, Indiana, died on Thursday, August 15, 2019 at the Melrose-Wakefield Hospital.
Born in Mattoon, Illinois on June 19, 1932, she was the daughter of the late John and Suzie (Storm) Sparks.
Ms. Meads was a graduate of Mattoon High School, Class of 1951. She was a retired administrative assistant at Indiana State University.
Ms. Meads is survived by her six children; Pamela Seiwert of Wakefield, Dwight Meads of Methuen, Sheryl Dunford of Tampa, Florida, Sandra Meads of Derry, New Hampshire, Keith Meads of Wakefield and Sharon Meads of Terre Haute, Indiana, and her sister Betty Patterson of Terre Haute, Indiana. She is also survived by her 16 grandchildren and her 16 great-grandchildren. Ms. Meads was predeceased by her daughter Candie Rooksberry, her two brothers; Gene Sparks and Kenneth Sparks and her sister Carole Wright.
Her funeral service will be held at the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Monday at 11 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. There are no calling hours.
