MELROSE — People have until Monday, Jan. 4 at 4 p.m. to apply to for one affordable, 2-bedroom unit at 8 Greenleaf Pl., a new three-story, residential condominium development in Melrose with six units.

The affordable unit with approximately 1,500 square feet of living space is being offered by lottery to eligible households earning up to 80% of the area median income. The unit has a maximum sales price of $288,200 and an initial monthly Home-Owner Association (HOA) fee of $178. A parking space is included with the sales price. Greenleaf Place is off Franklin Street.

PLEASE NOTE: All complete pre-applications must be received (by email) or postmarked (if mailed) on or before 4:00 p.m. on the application deadline date (January 4, 2021) to be included in the lottery. Applying for the lottery does not obligate you to purchase a home. The lottery will be held via Zoom and is tentatively scheduled for January 12, 2021. A mortgage pre-approval letter from an institutional lender familiar with affordable deed restrictions must be included with your pre-application for it to be considered complete.
