MELROSE — The Department of Public Works (DPW) is providing an added curbside service this Spring given the harsh winter and successive Nor’easters of March.

During the week of April 9, DPW will collect loose and bundled brush from residents at their curbside. This includes large and small branches, preferably loose, though bundled branches will also be collected. Brush will be collected on your regular curbside collection day.

This service will take place April 9 – 13 only, all other weeks will follow regular yard waste collection schedule and regulations. Bagged yard waste (leaves) will also be collected the week of April 9 with a separate crew. In addition, the DPW City Yard and Recycling Facility will resume its seasonal Saturday hours this coming weekend, beginning on Saturday April 7 from 8 a.m. – 12 noon.

Please call DPW at 781-665-0142 with any questions.
