MELROSE — The Melrose High School Marching Band’s Annual Christmas Tree Sale is happening this weekend.

From Friday, Dec. 4 to Sunday, Dec. 6, in the high school parking lot, the fresh Christmas trees are delivered directly from Nova Scotia. Wreaths (decorated and plain), kissing balls and poinsettias will be on sale for one weekend only. Arrive early for best selection and don’t forget your mask.

Hours are: Friday, 5-9 p.m.; Saturday, 8 a.m.-7 p.m.; Sunday, 9 a.m. to noon (if any remain).

Save time: pre-order and pre-pay online: https://melroseband.square.site

There will be a separate “Prepaid” area to get you on your way quickly. Cash, Venmo, checks, and credit cards will be accepted at the sale.

Trees 8 feet and shorter cost $50; over 8 feet, $60. Decorated wreaths go for $25; plain wreaths for $10. Decorated kissing balls are $30, and large poinsettias are $22.

This is the band’s largest fundraiser. The funds raised help purchase large instruments, award scholarships to all seniors and assist  with many other costs.
