Marching Band Christmas tree sale begins Friday

MELROSE — The Melrose High School Marching Band’s Annual Christmas Tree Sale will take place on Friday, December 7 to Sunday, December 9 in the high school parking lot.

The fresh Christmas trees are delivered directly from Nova Scotia.

Wreaths (decorated and plain), kissing balls and treats will be on sale for one weekend only. This is the band’s largest fundraiser for the year. Arrive early for best selection. Thank you for supporting the band.

Hours of operation:

• Friday, December 7 from 5-9 p.m.

• Saturday, December 8 from 9 a.m. – 7 p.m.

• Sunday, December 9 from 9 a.m. – 12 noon (if there are any left)

Prices:

• Trees 8’ and shorter: $45

• Trees over 8’: $55

• Decorated wreaths: $25

• Plain wreaths: $10

• Kissing balls (decorated) $30

Cash, checks, and credit cards accepted.

The tree sale is the band’s largest fundraiser. The funds raised helps cover the cost of music, purchasing of large instruments, and awards scholarships to all seniors as well as assisting with many other costs.
