WAKEFIELD – Alan Hoey, 84, of Wakefield, died peacefully October 24, 2019, from complications due to acute myeloid leukemia, surrounded by his loving wife of 58 years, Rita (Parziale) Hoey, and his son, Steven Alan Hoey, of Somerville.

After attending Melrose High School, Kimball Union Academy, and St. Lawrence University, Al began work selling printing supplies and equipment for Chemco Photoproducts Company. He steadily expanded his territory and responsibilities, and remained with the company after it was bought by Konica Imaging. Al was a lifelong fan of all sports, but had a special place in his heart for the Boston Red Sox and the Boston Bruins. He was also an avid golfer, and longtime active member of Indian Ridge Country Club in Andover. He touched everyone he met with his kindness, and leaves behind many heartbroken friends and relatives.
