WOBURN — Ann E. “Nancy” Bennett, 84, of Woburn, formerly of Arlington, passed away at Grosvenor Park Health Center in Salem on August 11, 2018.

Nancy was born and raised in Somerville and a graduate of Mary Cliff Academy in Winchester. She went on to Catherine Gibbs Secretarial School and worked as an Executive Secretary for the Arthur D. Little Research Company in Cambridge for 30 years. She resided in Arlington for 20 years and 30 years in Woburn. Nancy was a devout member and Eucharistic Minister at St. Barbara’s Church in Woburn for many years and also volunteered at the Winchester Hospital. She was a great dresser and loved traveling to the Soviet Union, England, Rome, Italy and all over Europe.

Nancy was the devoted daughter of the late Dr. John D. Bennett and Gladys (Paul) Bennett. She was the sister of Clare B. Callahan of Marblehead, and the late Daniel, Paul and John Bennett. Sister-in-law of Joan Bennett of Maine. Also survived by several nieces, nephews and friends.

A mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Barbara’s Church, 138 Cambridge Rd. in Woburn on Friday August 17 at 12 noon, followed by a burial at Wyoming Cemetery in Melrose. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. There are no visiting hours. Arrangements by Gately Funeral Home, 79 West Foster St. Melrose.
