MELROSE — Barbara S. Eversole, 56, of Melrose, died February 17, 2019 at the Sawtelle Hospice in Reading after a brief but brave battle with metastatic breast cancer.
Barbara was born September 18, 1962, in Minneapolis, Minn., to the late Russell and Ilse (Dittman) Eversole and raised in North Salem, N.Y. She graduated from Washington State University and the Bentley Graduate School of Business.
Barbara was the beloved wife of Robert Sharick, mother of David and Victoria Sharick all of Melrose, sister of Carolyn Eversole and husband Gerald Bagenski, Rae Ann Dougherty and Richard, and Lawrence Eversole, niece of Sophie Heymann, sister-in-law of Diane Nowatzki and Roger, William Sharick and Miriam, and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Barbara was also an amazing friend to so many from throughout her life. She was a passionate advocate for women’s rights and the right of everyone to vote, a phenomenal cook who delighted in sharing at every event she hosted or attended, but her family was her pride and joy and the center of her life.
Flowers gratefully declined. Visitation will be held at the Gately Funeral Home, 79 W. Foster St. Melrose on Thursday, February 21 from 5-8 p.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
