MELROSE — Carolyn E. Powers, 66, of Melrose, died on November 19, 2017. She was predeceased by her infant daughter and was the daughter of the late James and Gertrude Powers. Sister of Kathleen A. Powers of Melrose, Donald A. Powers and his fiancé Susan A. Kureta of Beverly, and the late David Powers. Aunt of Erin Powers and her fiancé Gil Ortega of Hamilton, New Jersey, and Kaileen Powers of Qunicy. Great-Aunt of Riley and Hadley Ortega. Niece of Edward Powers of Granby and Patricia Walsh of Melrose. Also survived by many cousins.
Visiting Hours will be held on Friday, Nov. 24, from 4 – 8 p.m., at the Gately Funeral Home, 79 W. Foster St., Melrose. A funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 25, at Most Blessed Sacrament Church, 1155 Main St., Wakefield. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
