MELROSE — Francis T. “Frank” Cassidy, 83, of Melrose, formerly of Malden, passed away on July 6, 2018.

Frank was born in Medford on April 26, 1935 to William and Alice (Newman) Cassidy. He was raised in Medford and attended Medford Schools. Frank was a member of the Local 22 Laborers Union and worked at numerous construction companies in Boston and the surrounding communities. He was also the superintendent at Salem Towers in Malden for 13 years. Frank lived in Malden for many years where he raised his family with his wife Lorraine, and has lived in Melrose for the past 10 years.

Frank was the beloved husband for over 50 years of Lorraine (Dean) Cassidy of Melrose. Loving father of Frank Cassidy of Malden, Mark Cassidy and his wife Denise of Woburn, and John Cassidy of Malden. Proud grandfather of Courtney, Colleen, Ryan, Brandon, Colten, and Leeya. Also survived by his sister Janet of Brockton.

Visitation was held on Thursday, July at the Gately Funeral Home, 79 W. Foster St., Melrose. A funeral service was held immediately following the visitation at the Gately Funeral Home.
