MOULTONBOROUGH, N.H. — On June 20, 2020 James “Jim” Edward Dunne, 82, of Moultonborough, N.H. (formerly of Melrose, Mass.) passed away peacefully with his loving family at his side. He was born and raised in East Boston.

Jim is survived by his beloved wife Geraldine “Gerry” for 59 years, his son Jim Dunne and wife Tammy of Mancelona, Mich., daughters (his little darlins) Karen and husband Roman Agresti of Everett, Kristen and husband Serafin Lima of Somerville, Kerri and husband Daniel Soares of Saugus. He has six grandchildren: Brianna, Abigail, Jimmy, Joseph, Jonathan and Sofia; one great-grandchild: Adrianna. He is also survived by his brother John and wife Carol of Reading and his late sisters, Joyce Koulouvaris and Marie Newman; also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Jim lived a very fulfilling life. He was a member of the Boilersmakers of Boston, Local 29. He held the office of president for the Local from 1972-1978. He was the owner of Glendale Package store in Everett for 16 years.

Jim’s greatest love was his family and was well respected by all who knew him. He will be forever in our hearts and forever missed.

Visitation was held at the Gately Funeral Home 79 West Foster St. Melrose on Saturday, June 27. A private funeral Mass was held at Most Blessed Sacrament Church, Wakefield followed by a burial at Puritan Lawn Cemetery in Peabody.
