EVERETT — Jerome A. Ambrogne Jr., 57, passed away suddenly at the Exeter Hospital in New Hampshire on March 16, 2018.

Jerome was born in Melrose on January 26, 1961 to Margaret (Bushee) Ambrogne of Melrose and late Jerome Ambrogne. He was raised in Melrose and graduated from the Northeast Vocational School in Wakefield. He lived in Malden for a few years and the past numerous years in Everett.

Jerome was a warehouse manager at US Foods in Seabrook, N.H. for over 25 years. Mr. Ambrogne was a huge Patriots fan, enjoyed camping, and loved riding around in his Chevy Silverado pickup truck. He was a dedicated softball coach for several years in Everett, loved going to sporting events, playing solitaire, working in his garden, doing yard work and working around the house. When he was younger he played the French horn, was a member of the 27th Lancer Bugle Corps, and participated in the 1980 Winter Olympics opening ceremonies.

Jerome was the beloved husband of the late Karen M. (Poe) Ambrogne. Loving father of Jessica A. Ambrogne and Allison M. Ambrogne both of Everett. Cherished brother of Margaret M. Culpon and her husband James of Laconia, N.H., Denise A. Ambrogne and Patrice A. Ambrogne both of Melrose. Caring uncle of Kaitlyn, Nicole, Danielle, Jonathan, Luke and Jacob. Also survived by numerous friends.

Visitation was held at the Gately Funeral Home, 79 W. Foster St. Melrose on Tuesday, March 20. Funeral procession was from Gately Funeral Home on Wednesday morning, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary’s Church, 9 Herbert St. Melrose. Burial at Puritan Lawn Memorial Park in Peabody. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to in Jerome’s name to the American Heart Association, 300 5th Ave, Waltham, MA 02451.
